Butoh Scores 2025

Mexico city, November 9-23

This fall, we are excited to collaborate with partners in Mexico and at Yale University to offer a rare opportunity to step into the world of Tatsumi Hijikata’s butoh choreography. Through workshops, performances, archival screenings, and talks, participants will explore Hijikata’s creative work of the 1970s, learning original phrases and viewing recordings rarely or never shown outside Japan. Joined by leading butoh artists, archivists, choreographers, and researchers, we look forward to welcoming you to Mexico City for this immersive program from November 9–23, 2025.
